Governor Tom Corbett wants more information regarding old emails of current and former state officials that contained sexual images and videos. Philly.com reports Corbett has asked Attorney General Kathleen Kane for the contents of the emails. Yesterday, Kane allowed reporters to see a sample of the photos and videos. Philly.com also reports a spokeswoman for Kane says the AG is reviewing the request, while a spokesman for Corbett says the governor wants all the facts before deciding how to handle the situation.
A 20-year-old man was taken to the hospital following gunfire in the Hornerstown section of Johnstown late Tuesday. Police say the victim suffered a non-life-threatening wound to the abdomen. Officers are looking for the shooter.
State police in Somerset County have filed vehicular homicide charges against 26-year-old Amy Oblack of Allegheny County in connection with the March wreck that killed her passenger, 25-year-old Ryan Stallard of West Mifflin, and another driver, Roger Hay of Middlecreek Township. Police say Oblack was drunk when she failed to stop at a stop sign and her car collided with Hay’s vehicle at the intersection of Cross Road and Cooper Kettle Road in Middle Creek Township.

EXPERTS SAY THE GUNMAN USED A RIFLE AND MAY HAVE HAD FORMAL FIREARM TRAINING. THEY ALSO BELIEVE HE SPECIFICALLY TARGETED THE BLOOMING GROVE BARRACKS AND MAY HAVE HAD SOME KIND OF ONGOING ISSUE WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT. CORPORAL BRYON DICKSON THE SECOND WAS KILLED AND TROOPER ALEX DOUGLASS WAS CRITICALLY WOUNDED. A 75-THOUSAND DOLLAR REWARD IS BEING OFFERED FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO AN ARREST.
SCAM ARTISTS ARE TRYING TO CAPITALIZE ON THE TRAGEDY. TROOPERS IN LAMAR SAY AN ORGANIZATION CALLED “THE STATE POLICE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM” IS MAKING CALLS FROM A PHONE NUMBER WITH A 570 AREA CODE. A COMPUTER ANIMATED VOICE ASKS FOR DONATIONS OF 50 OR 100-DOLLARS. ANYONE WHO GETS ONE OF THESE CALLS SHOULD CALL STATE POLICE IN LAMAR.
