Season of Believing Day 5: Believe in Faith

Submitted Mon, 12/10/2012 - 6:00am by Web Gal

Faith gets many through the roughest patches in life.

Faith in yourself. Faith that things will get better. Faith in others. Faith in loved ones...

On Day 5 in our Season of Believing, we wanted to share with you the story of Taylor Morris. His story and a complete photo slide show is here, but the photo summary below really says it all. Morris was hit by an explosive device in May in Afghanistan and lost all four of his limbs, but with his girlfriend Danielle Kelly by his side, he pushed to recover and they danced at a friend's wedding this fall.

Kelly told the Cedar Falls Patch back in July: "I try not to think back on that day, because it brings back all the raw feelings. Instead, we are looking forward.”

Believe in Faith

When someone we love is coping with a life-limiting illness, we must have faith that better days are to come. Part of that faith comes in having a strong support system. Home Nursing Agency Hospice can be just that. We can lessen the demands on caregivers and allow them the time to focus on what matters most.

As Pennsylvania's first Medicare-certified hospice, we've been partnering with physicians for more than 40 years to meet the needs of patients coping with a chronic or life-limiting illness. Our advance practice nurses, therapists, social workers, and specially-trained hospice staff develop a plan to provide treatment, support, personal care and a number of speicalized services for both the patient and family. Hospice staff are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for symptom and pain management, emotional and spiritual support, and volunteer and grief support.

Care is available in personal residences, nursing facilities, hospital or assisted living/personal care homes. Click here to learn more about Home Nursing Agency Hospice
