"The X Factor" is tuning up for a third verse. Fox has announced its renewal of the singing competition for a third season and producer and judge Simon Cowell couldn't be happier. In a statement, Cowell said he was proud of the show and thanked fans for their support and enthusiasm. Pop stars Britney Spears and Demi Lovato were added to the show's judges' panel for the current second season, replacing Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger who sat on the panel during the show's first season. It's not yet known if Spears or Lovato will be back for "X Factor's" third season.
The show also just hired on Khloe Kardashian Odom and Mario Lopez to serve as co-hosts for the "X Factor's" upcoming live shows. Odom and Lopez are expected to begin their co-hosting gigs on November 1st.
