The majority of Americans are planning to hit the road over the next few months. Nearly three-quarters of the respondents in a new Harris Interactive survey say they'll be taking a road trip this summer that will include at least one night away from home. Young adults are the most inclined to head out on the highway, with 81-percent of respondents under the age of 35 saying they'll be doing some traveling this summer. But 74-percent of the folks in the 45-to-54 age group will also answering the call of the open road, along with 68-percent of the 35-to-44-year-olds and 65-percent of those 55 and older. Beaches are a prime destination, with 38-percent looking to spend time among the sand and surf. Just over a quarter will be seeking an urban getaway, while 23-percent want to take some time in the country. Another 23-percent will be visiting a state or national park, and 21-percent will be finding fun at a theme park.
