Solidarity head shaving saves a life

Dolly Stringer was diagnosed with breast cancer in April and decided to shave her head before she started chemotherapy.  Her husband Bud decided to shave his head to demonstrate his support.  That show of solidarity probably saved his life.

Without all his dark hair to hide it, a black patch on Bud's scalp was exposed.  He thought it was a birthmark, but his mom told him he didn't have any birthmarks.  So, Bud went to a doctor who diagnosed it as third stage malignant melanoma.

Now, husband and wife are going through different cancer treatments... together... and promoting awareness about cancer.  Click here for more info on this couple from ABC News.
