THREE MEN FROM KITTAINING ARE DEAD AFTER AN ACCIDENT JUST AFTER MIDNIGHT … SATURDAY NIGHT …  IN INDIANA COUNTY.  POLICE SAY A SPEEDING PICKUP TRUCK CRASHED INTO A POND ALONG MCMILLEN ROAD IN SOUTH MAHONING TOWNSHIP.   THE VEHICLE WAS UPSIDE DOWN IN THE WATER AND THE DRIVER AND PASSENGERS WERE TRAPPED INSIDE. THERE WERE OTHERS NEARBY BUT THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO SAVE THEM.  THE THREE VICTIMS WERE IDENTIFIED AS  THE DRIVER … 20 YEAR-OLD SEAN TITUS…AND 19 YEAR-OLD ZANE MCMILLEN…AND 19 YEAR-OLD CODY BRINK. ALCOHOL IS SUSPECTED TO BE A FACTOR.

AN ACCIDENT LAST NIGHT ALONG MAIN STREET IN ROARING SPRING IN BLAIR COUNTY.  AUTHORITIES SAY THE DRIVER OF A PICK UP TRUCK CAME AROUND A CURVE IN THE ROAD TOO FAST AND ACCIDENTALLY FLIPPED THE TRUCK.  THERE WERE THREE PEOPLE INSIDE. THEIR CONDITIONS ARE NOT KNOWN.

AN ATV ACCIDENT IN SOMERSET COUNTY HAS LEFT ONE PERSON INJURED.  IT HAPPENED ON BERKEY ROAD IN JENNERSTOWN. IT IS KNOWN THAT ONE PERSON WAS TAKEN TO MEMORIAL MEDICAL CENTER IN JOHNSTOWN AND IS IN STABLE CONDITION.

FAMILIES OF VICTIMS OF FLIGHT-93 WANT THE NAVY TO COMMISSION THE U-S-S SOMERSET FROM PHILADELPHIA.  THE FLIGHT-93 GROUP IS HOPING TO GET AN ANSWER BY NEXT YEAR.  A QUILT MADE OF PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE VICTIMS OF FLIGHT-93 WILL BE DISPLAYED ON THE SHIP.  THE U-S-S SOMERSET, U-S-S NEW YORK, AND U-S-S ARLINGTON SAIL IN HONOR OF THE HEROES OF 9-11.

3 PEOPLE DIED EARLY SUNDAY MORNING AFTER A SPEEDING PICKUP TRUCK CRASHED INTO A SMALL POND ALONG MCMILLEN ROAD IN SOUTH MAHONING TOWNSHIP, INDIANA COUNTY.  FRIENDS SAY THE TRUCK FLIPPED INTO THE WATER AND TRAPPED THE PASSENGERS AND DRIVER INSIDE. THE WITNESSES WERE UNABLE TO SAVE THEM.  THE VICTIMS HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED AS 20 YEAR-OLD SEAN TITUS…19 YEAR-OLD ZANE MCMILLEN…AND 19 YEAR-OLD CODY BRINK. THEY ARE ALL FROM KITTANING. TITUS WAS BEHIND THE WHEEL. THE CORONER’S OFFICE SAYS TOXICOLOGY TESTS ARE PENDING, BUT ALCOHOL IS SUSPECTED TO BE A FACTOR.

BLAIR COUNTY CORONER PATTY ROSS SAYS THE BODY PULLED FROM THE LITTLE JUANITA RIVER NEAR TYRONE THURSDAY WAS THAT OF 28 YEAR OLD DOMINIC BALZANO OF ALTOONA…AND SHE CALLS THE DEATH SUSPICIOUS BECAUSE BALZANO DID NOT HAVE WATER IN HIS LUNGS AND AUTHORITIES AREN’T SURE HOW HE ENDED UP IN THE RIVER.  THE AUTOPSY WAS INCONCLUSIVE, SO ADDITIONAL MICROSCOPIC AND TOXICOLOGY TESTING WILL BE DONE.  BALZANO’S FATHER IS THE PASTOR OF THE PLEASANT VALLEY ASSEMBLY OF GOD CHURCH IN ALTOONA.

STATE POLICE IN BLAIR COUNTY SAY 26 YEAR OLD DAVID MOORE OF ROARING SPRING POINTED A SHOTGUN AT A TROOPER DURING AN INCIDENT EARLY SUNDAY AT A CEMETERY.  MOORE WENT THERE FOLLOWING AN ARGUMENT WITH HIS WIFE AND CALLED HER MORE THAN 20 TIMES, SAYING HE WAS AT THEIR SON’S GRAVE. HIS MOTHER SHOWED UP AND CALMED HIM DOWN, THEN HE WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY. MOORE WAS HIT WITH A TASER FOR RESISTING ARREST. HE’S NOW IN THE COUNTY JAIL ON 25-THOUSAND DOLLARS CASH BAIL.
