IN PITTSBURGH … THE MALL AT ROBINSON IS OPEN AS USUAL THIS AFTERNOON.  THE MALL WAS EVACUATED SUNDAY AFTER A BOMB THREAT WAS DISCOVERED INaSIDE A DRESSING ROOM AT SEARS.  THE NOTE WAS DISCOVERED ABOUT 1:30 AND THE MALL WAS DEEMED SAFE FOUR HOURS LATER, FOLLOWING AN INTENSE SEARCH.  NOW DETECTIVES ARE COMBING THROUGH SURVEILLANCE TO FIND THE HOAXER.

IN FAYETTE COUNTY … CHARGES WILL LIKELY BE FILED TODAY AGAINST THE CONNELLSVILLE MAN WHO TOOK A HOSTAGE AND HELD POLICE AT BAY OVER THE WEEKEND.  POLICE WERE CALLED TO A HOME ON SNYDER STREET SATURDAY EVENING. RANDY FLACK WAS HOLDING A GUN TO HIS HEAD AND KEEPING A FEMALE COMPANION FROM LEAVING THE HOME.  THE 56-YEAR-OLD SURRENDERED AFTER POLICE CONVINCED HIM TO RELEASE THE WOMAN.

A MISSING 15 YEAR OLD FROM SOMERSET COUNTY IS BACK HOME.  AUTHORITIES SAY ETHAN KENYON WENT MISSING AFTER BEING LAST BEING SEEN AT SOMERSET HIGH SCHOOL.  HE WAS RETURNED TO THE CUSTODY OF HIS PARENTS ON SUNDAY.

IN CHAMBERSBURG … A MISSING 12-YEAR-OLD FRANKLIN COUNTY GIRL IS SAFE AFTER BEING FOUND IN BUFFALO, NEW YORK.  OFFICIALS FOUND DAKOTA TURNER EARLY SUNDAY MORNING.  SHE HAD BEEN MISSING SINCE FRIDAY AFTERNOON.  POLICE SAY TURNER WAS TAKEN TO BUFFALO BY A 21-YEAR-OLD MAN SHE MET ONLINE.

EBENSBURG WATER CUSTOMERS CAN EXPECT SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS BEGINNING TODAY AS CONSTRUCTION CREWS CONTINUE WITH IMPROVEMENTS.   DOWNTOWN CUSTOMERS WILL BE WITHOUT SERVICE UNTIL EARLY TUESDAY AS WORKERS DRAIN LINES AND INSTALL 8 NEW VALVES.  SIMILAR PROCEDURES WILL TAKE PLACE THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK IN OTHER PARTS OF THE BORO.  CUSTOMERS WILL BE NOTIFIED IN ADVANCE BY A DIGITAL PHONE CALL WHEN WATER SERVICE WILL BE INTERRUPTED.  CUSTOMERS SHOULD CONTACT THE BORO OFFICE AT 472-8780 TO MAKE SURE THEIR TELEPHONE NUMBER IS INCLUDED IN THE CONTACT LIST FOR NOTIFICATION.  CUSTOMERS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BOIL WATER WHEN SERVICE IS RESTORED.

A WINDBER MAN WAS INJURED IN A MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT ON SATURDAY. IT HAPPENED ON EISENHOWER BOULEVARD. THERE’S NO WORD YET ON WHAT CAUSED THE ACCIDENT.  THE CYCLIST WAS SERIOUSLY HURT AND REMAINS HOSPITALIZED.

A GREENSBURG MAN HAS BEEN ARRESTED IN INDIANA.  AUTHORITIES SAY ZACHARY ROBERTSON WAS ARRESTED ON THE 700 BLOCK OF PHILADELPHIA STREET ON POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA CHARGES. HE’S IN THE INDIANA COUNTY JAIL.

OFFICIALS ARE INVESTIGATING THE CAUSE OF A FREIGHT TRAIN DERAILMENT IN LANCASTER COUNTY SUNDAY AFTERNOON.  EMERGENCY CREWS WERE CALLED TO THE AMTRAK MAINLINE NEAR HARRISBURG PIKE WHERE A PORTION OF THE TRAIN HAD DERAILED.  THERE WERE NO INJURIES.
