Eagles fans will be able to pick up their own copies of the band's two-part documentary next month. "History of the Eagles" will be released in a couple of different sets. The two movies will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in packages that also include a third disc of never before released concert footage of the Eagles' performing in Landover, Maryland back in 1977, during their "Hotel California" tour. The digi-pak also comes with a special booklet. Meanwhile, a limited edition "Super Deluxe Box Set" will include the three discs as well as a 40-page book, stills from the film, a limited edition lithograph, and ten other photographs. "History of the Eagles" will be in stores on April 30th.
"History of the Eagles, Part 1" covers the band from their formation through their 1980 breakup. "Part 2" picks up the group's story with their 1994 reunion, and includes what has happened since then. "History of the Eagles, Part 1" had its premiere earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival, and both films had their TV premiere last month on Showtime.
