The latest presidential poll shows that Pennsylvania has become a very tight race.  The Tribune Review found 47% of registered voters say they’ll vote for Obama and 47% say they’ll vote for Mitt  Romney.  In previous polls, Obama had as much as a 12 point lead, but that has been shrinking in recent weeks.  PA has 20 electoral votes.

Both the major political parties in Fayette County believe Mitt Romney will score big in south western Pennsylvania.  President Obama's position on coal mining and the Keystone Pipeline are the main issues expected to hurt him.  Even with a loss locally, some democratic leaders say Obama will easily carry the state.

Pittsburgh police and zoo officials are investigating the tragic death of a Pleasant Hills toddler.  The two-year-old boy fell about 14 feet into the African Painted Dogs exhibit Sunday morning after his mother propped him up on the exhibit's rail to see the endangered animals.  The dogs, also known as painted wolves, went into attack mode, mauling the boy to death.  Both his parents were hospitalized for trauma.  Their names were not released.

A barn in Hollidaysburg, Blair County was destroyed by fire last night.  The barn was along the 33-hundred block of Scotch Valley road.   Fire crews report they were able to save some milk cows, but equipment in the barn was lost.  Crews spent about six hours fighting that fire.   It’s believed the fire was sparked by a wood burner.

ONE FINAL FURIOUS DAY OF CAMPAIGNING BEFORE VOTERS ELECT A PRESIDENT TOMORROW.   PENNSYLVANIA HAS 20 ELECTORAL VOTES, THE 5TH MOST IN THE COUNTRY.  VOTERS WILL ALSO CHOOSE A U.S. SENATOR, A STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL AND DOZENS OF OTHER GOVERNMENT LEADERS IN TUESDAY’S ELECTION.   TERRY MADONNA, A FRANKLIN & MARSHALL COLLEGE POLLSTER, SAYS HE EXPECTS NEARLY 60 PERCENT OF THE 9-POINT-9 MILLION PENNSYLVANIANS AGE 18 AND OLDER TO TURN OUT AT THE POLLS.  NEARLY 8-POINT-5 MILLION VOTERS ARE REGISTERED IN PENNSYLVANIA, INCLUDING 4-POINT-3 MILLION DEMOCRATS AND 3-POINT-1 MILLION REPUBLICANS.  THE POLLS ARE OPEN FROM 7AM TO 8PM.

ACCORDING TO A "PITTSBURGH TRIBUNE-REVIEW" POLL, TOMORROW’S PRESIDENTIAL RACE IS TOO CLOSE TO CALL IN PENNSYLVANIA.   THE SURVEY OF 800 LIKELY VOTERS WAS TAKEN DURING THE LAST 3 DAYS OF OCTOBER AND HAS A 3-POINT-4-6 MARGIN OF ERROR.  THE ECONOMY WAS THE NUMBER ONE ISSUE.

A 43 YEAR OLD BLAIRSVILLE, INDIANA COUNTY MAN IDENTIFIED AS WOODROW HICKS HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTING TO MEET UP WITH A 15 YEAR OLD GIRL AT A WAL MART.   HICKS HAD TEXTED THE GIRL TO MEET HIM IN WHITE TOWNSHIP FOR A SEXUAL ENCOUNTER.  POLICE APPROACHED HICKS AND HE TRIED TO RUN, BUT POLICE CAUGHT HIM.  HE’S IN JAIL TODAY.
