In Clearfield County … a man has been arrested and charged with molesting a ten year old girl for about a year.  39 year old Karl Porter of Treasure Lake faces charges of aggravated indecent assault.  Police say all the incidents happened in Sandy Township.  His bail was set at 100-thousand dollars.

In Somerset County, a jury has found a rapper from Pittsburgh guilty of possessing 50-thousand dollars worth of heroin.  The rapper, known as “S Money,” was one of four men in a vehicle pulled over by a state police officer.  The heroin was found inside the car and the rapper’s fingerprints were on the bags.  Police believe he was transporting the drugs to Pittsburgh. He faces up to four years in prison.

In Westmoreland County … a Derry Area High School Chemistry teacher is in fair condition following a lab explosion.  Thirty-five-year-old Brian Clawson was mixing potassium nitrate with sugar when something went awry yesterday morning.  Clawson got students out of harm's way but suffered burns to his hands, face, neck, and chest.  OSHA is investigating.

Excela Health is investing in Westmoreland County.  The health care system announced yesterday plans to build medical malls in Ligonier (“lig-in-ear”), Hempfield and Unity.  Each facility will consolidate offices, clinics, and labs within its region.  Excela officials said the plan would improve patient care.

A STATE POLICE FIRE MARSHAL IN INDIANA COUNTY IS STILL SEARCHING FOR THE CAUSE OF TUESDAY’S MASSIVE FIRE AT CREPS UNITED PUBLICATIONS IN WHITE TOWNSHIP.   DAMAGE IS ESTIMATED AT UP TO 10-MILLION DOLLARS.

ABOUT 50 EMPLOYEES GOT OUT SAFELY.

A PET IS BLAMED FOR A MOBILE HOME FIRE YESTERDAY IN DUNCANSVILLE, BLAIR COUNTY.   INVESTIGATORS SAY A DOG OR CAT APPARENTLY OVERTURNED A CANDLE, SPARKING THE FIRE AT 514 DEROSE AVENUE. LUCKILY, NO ONE WAS INJURED.   NEIGHBORS SAY THE FAMILY LOST ANOTHER HOUSE TO FIRE LESS THAN 2 YEARS AGO.

70 YEAR OLD SALLY JEAN FULTZ WALKED AWAY FROM A CARE-DEPENDANT HOME IN BLAIRS MILLS, HUNTINGDON COUNTY, BETWEEN TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY MORNING…THEN SHE WAS FOUND DEAD IN A CREEK ABOUT 100 YARDS AWAY.    STATE POLICE SAY FULTZ WAS BLIND AND SUFFERING FROM DEMENTIA.  THE CARETAKER, 62 YEAR OLD CONNIE SOUDERS, IS NOW CHARGED WITH INVOLUNTARY MANSLAUGHTER AND NEGLECT OF A CARE-DEPENDENT PERSON.    SOUDERS IS JAILED ON 100-THOUSAND DOLLARS BAIL AND A PRELIMINARY HEARING IS SET FOR TUESDAY.  4 OTHER RESIDENTS ALSO LIVED AT THE SLEEPY HOLLOW PERSONAL CARE CENTER.

THE 44TH ANNUAL JOHNSTOWN HALLOWEEN PARADE IS TONIGHT AT 7 AND IT’S ONE OF THE LARGEST HALLOWEEN EVENTS IN SOUTHCENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA.
LAST YEAR, MORE THAN 12-THOUSAND PEOPLE WERE DOWNTOWN AND THIS YEAR’S PARADE SHOULD HAVE WELL OVER 100 UNITS.
