He facES 20 TO 40 years in jail WHEN HE’S sentenced June 23RD.
ARREST IN APARTMENT BUILDING FIRE
POLICE SAY 23 YEAR OLD BRIAN FLICKINGER OF Claysburg is RESPONSIBLE FOR THE fire thAT DESTROYED 3 OF THE 7 UNITS AT THe Greenfield Apartments Tuesday night. HE admitted to dropping A cigarette in the shed. A POLICE OFFICER SUFFERED SMOKE INHALATION AS HE EVACUATED THE BUILDING AND A FIREFIGHTER HAD MINOR INJURIES. ON MONDAY NIGHT, A BARN IN THE AREA WAS DESTROYED AND THERE HAVE ALSO BEEN A STRING OF BREAK-INS. INVESTIGATORS ARE TRYING TO DETERMINE IF THERE IS A CONNECTION. Flickinger Is FREE ON bail.

a preliminary hearing is scheduled today for 32 year old jennifer sloan of Cresson who is charged with Homicide by vehicle. police say she did not have a valid license and was driving recklessly at more than 80 miles an hour last april when her car slammed into another vehicle along Route 22 near the gallitzin exit. the other driver, 58 year old connie naylor of dysart was killed.

HE WAS DEER HUNTING WITH A GROUP OF MEN IN early December WHEN THEY OPENED FIRE AND ONE OF NADOLSKY’S BULLETS KILLED 42 YEAR OLD TIMOTHY BRUCE OF ASHVILLE. THE DEATH WAS RULED ACCIDENTAL, BUT the Game Commission FILED A charge of shooting at or causing harm to human beings.

THE ALTOONA MIRROR REPORTS THAT THE ALTOONA AREA SCHOOL BOARD AND THE TEACHERS UNION HAVE REACHED A COMPROMISE ON A NEW CONTRACT.
IF THE 3 YEAR DEAL IS RATIFIED, IT WILL INCLUDE PAY RAISES, AVERAGING ABOUT 2-POINT-5 PERCENT, FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR. INCREASES ARE SET AT 3 PERCENT ON AVERAGE FOR THE NEXT 2 YEARS.
